November 16, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST

Feeling a sudden need to travel? Brazil is calling you!

Sarah Hautzinger

Sarah Hautzinger

Tune in to our informational webinar to learn about Brazil: Culture, Community, and Language at PUC-Rio, the new ACM program in Rio de Janeiro for fall 2017.

The webinar features Colorado College professor Sarah Hautzinger, who will be the fall 2017 visiting faculty director for the program.

Study Portuguese, without missing a beat in your education by taking advantage of varied course offerings in English. Step into Brazil in a very experiential way with homestays and community-service and independent study options. Explore transnationalism, global citizenship, community engagement, and service learning.

The webinar will also discuss the program’s featured course, taught by Professor Hautzinger, which takes up “trans-” as a trope for exploring varied aspects of Brazilian culture and society, from transnational events like the Olympics and World Cup, transnational study, transformative social visions in grass-root activism, to Brazilian transgenders, trans-species rain-forest relations, and even trans-dimensional relations in Brazilian spirit-possession religions.

Viva Brazil!
