Enhancing Scholarly Agendas

Supporting faculty research

During the ACM FaCE Project Phase I, funds were available to support faculty research in the following two categories:

  • Enhancing Scholarship by Exploring New Avenues, and
  • Enhancing Scholarship by Enriching Sabbatical Experiences and Planning.

Enhancing Scholarship by Exploring New Avenues was designed for faculty interested in exploring a new area of research.

Enhancing Scholarship by Enriching Sabbatical Experiences and Planning provided funds to supplement college sabbatical grants to either assist in developing a stronger sabbatical proposal or allowing better preparation to effectively complete the sabbatical scholarship.

Funds in either category could be used to support visits to specialists, research trips to domestic or international sites, extended stays at laboratories or library collections, data collection, and classes and/or specialized training in a new skill or area of interest.

Recipients of these grant funds were asked to write a report summarizing the grant-funded activities as well as submit receipts.

Full-time, tenure track faculty at ACM colleges were eligible to apply for these grant funds.
