Proposals
for Common Interest Workshops were accepted from individual faculty
members, groups of faculty, or the Academic Deans. The Executive
Committee of the Deans or the oversight committee for the grant
evaluated proposals.
Some
workshops were academic or curricular, and others addressed concerns
for different phases of faculty careers, such as research or grant
proposal development, manuscript publication preparation, or integrating
pedagogical skills.
