Faculty positions on ACM off-campus study programs

A summary of considerations

When ACM was founded in 1958, the college presidents agreed to pool their resources in offering unique off-campus study programs which were of sufficient quality to merit academic accreditation at each of the ACM colleges.

Throughout the history of the consortium, professors from ACM colleges have led or participated in these programs, ensuring their academic quality and providing students with the necessary support and guidance. Visiting professors have also benefited from living and teaching on the program sites, many of them in foreign countries, and from developing new research and curricular interests as a result of their experience. Since these are liberal arts programs, faculty from a wide variety of fields are often eligible for the positions.

Listed below is a summary of considerations for professors from ACM colleges interested in teaching in an ACM off-campus study program. For more information about specific opportunities, faculty should contact Kristine Jones at the ACM office in Chicago (312/263-5000).
