Budapest is the most beautiful city I have ever seen in my life. The important landmarks, of course, contribute to this. The true magic of the city lies not with its perfection, but with its imperfections. There is something sad and lovely about the grime and disrepair that marks many parts of the city. This photo was taken in a suburb of Budapest. I walked into a deserted courtyard, looked down, and was struck by the beauty of something I had never thought could be so beautiful.
