Activities in Florence

On a program excursionThe program offers students extra-curricular opportunities to learn more about Florence and Italian life.

Out-of-class activities in Florence vary from year to year, depending on the interests of the program participants and visiting professor. Excursions in recent years have included the opera, wine tastings, professional soccer games, and tours of glass-blowing factories in Murano.

Lectures on Italian history and contemporary affairs are offered. Program staff also advise students on how they can individually pursue their interests in hiking, local arts and crafts, or theatre and music performances.
