Students are billed tuition and a program fee by their colleges. Students from non-ACM colleges should consult the ACM office in Chicago.

Tuition For students from ACM colleges, ordinarily tuition for fall 2008 will equal approximately one-half of the 2008-09 home college annual tuition. In some cases, colleges may include additional charges to reflect credit earned or off-campus study fees. Tuition is paid directly to the home college. Tuition refunds are made in accordance with the policy in effect on the home campus in relation to the program calendar.

Financial aid In most cases, students from ACM colleges remain eligible for their college’s financial aid program and should consult their aid officers well in advance.

Program fee The program fee in 2007 was $1,900. This is subject to change for 2008. The program fee covers the cost of round trip airfare between Chicago and Pune, room and partial board (breakfast and dinner) in Pune, and partial reimbursement for cultural trip expenses. No part of the program fee already expended on a student’s behalf is refunded if the student withdraws from the program.

Students from non-ACM colleges are also charged a $125 administrative fee.

Transportation Students will be responsible for the cost of transportation to and from Chicago at the beginning and end of the program.

Other expenses Additional expenses in India will include books, lunches, local transportation, travel during program breaks, and incidental personal expenses. Students should budget $200-$250 per month for such expenses during their stay in India (more if extensive travel is planned).
