The program includes field trips to nearby cultural sites, such as

  • Ajanta and Ellora rock-cut caves in Aurangabad
  • Karla
  • Mahableshwar, a hill station near Pune
  • Sihagad Fort
  • Sanskriti

At a temple in JejuriStudents also observe and participate in religious festivals, such as the pilgrimage in Prandharpur (below) and festivals at a Hindu temple in Jejuri (right).

Travel throughout India

Students travel to other parts of India during holidays and the two-week program break. Favorite destinations include:

  • New Delhi, the capital of India, and Utter Pradesh
  • Agra, known for the Taj Mahal
  • Goa, a former Portuguese colony on the Arabian Sea
  • Rajasthan
  • Kerala
