Campus activities, involvement, or other interests: Student worker in the Lawrence University Archives – I get paid to do what I love!
Why I chose to do this program: It is easy to respond to this question from a purely academic standpoint. Although I applied with my academic prospects in mind, my personal affections solidified my decision. As an undergraduate, my work at various libraries and research centers offered opportunities for growth, both intellectually and internally. Most importantly, I wanted to close my baccalaureate career with an experience that encapsulated who I am, what I have done, and what I am capable of doing. To live in Chicago, one of my favorite cities, while researching, studying, and working at one of the largest libraries in the country, seemed like a dream come true.
What I'm most excited about: Walking downtown Chicago, with new friends who enjoy discussing not only life, but our present research musings.
