Campus activities, involvement, or other interests: CC Yoga instructor/ Invisible Children campaign. No known interests.
Why I chose to do this program: I chose this program to immerse myself in two seemingly contradicting sides of experience. The first one lends itself to the attractiveness of this program; the spiritual lineage of this subcontinent, the sensuous culture, etc. The second level of awareness is learning of the dark underbelly of industrial globalization and pollution.
What I'm most excited about: Olfactory sensation. And the custard apples.
Anything else? Be prepared to see the slums where your Reeboks come from, my friends. And don't just look in the other direction and flee to the westernized solace of Goa, experience the entirety of this rich land.
