  • Ripon College
  • London & Florence, Spring 2012

Hometown:  Saint Paul, MN

Majors:  I'm a double major in Art History and English.

Campus activities, involvement, or other interests:  I'm a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, a staff writer for the College Days Newspaper, a member of the Caestecker Gallery Gang, and a peer mentor with a penchant for editing term papers.

Why I chose this program:  I chose ACM because of its focus on the two areas of study that I plan to major in.  The opportunity to live with a host family in Florence was appealing, and the fact that I'll be able to experience two incredible cities in Europe made me excited about the program, as well.

What I'm most excited about:  I'm so excited to immerse myself in Italian culture and the art of both London and Florence.  It's one thing to look at a piece of art on a computer screen but something completely different to when it's a foot and a half away from you.  The theater scene in London will also be incredible, and I anticipate (happily) consuming an obnoxious amount of carbohydrates and gelato.
