Hometown: Chino, CA

Major/minor: Physiology and Neuroscience major, Global Health minor

Campus activities, involvement, or other interests: Member of Muscular Dystrophy Association, Intern for Ti Moun Annou Li (Children Let's Read!) in Haiti, Member of UCSD Dance Sport team (Latin Ballroom dancing), Member of UCSD salsa club (salsa dancing).  I also love playing the flute, bassoon, and piccolo.  Favorite activity is going to the movies, or reading a good book.

Why I chose this program: I made a research proposal for creating a community-based participatory program in Botswana, and ACM had all the tools I needed to succeed: a program that really gets the student's involved in the community, and great courses taught by excellent faculty.

What I'm most excited about: Working with young girls in my research, and just learning the way of life in Botswana.  Not to mention the awesome camping trip and safari!

Anything else?  Can't wait to try the worm delicacies I've heard about!
