Hometown: Westerville, OH
Majors: Double major in English Literature and Sociology
Activities & interests: Intern at The Kenyon Review, Head Tour Guide for Kenyon College Admissions, English Student Advisory Council, Sociology Student Advisory Board, Kenyon Literary Society, Upperclass Counselor for First Year Orientation at Kenyon College
Why I chose to do this program: I love research, especially projects that allow me to synthesize my various academic interests and to approach a particular subject in an interdisciplinary and comprehensive manner, something that the Newberry Library's vast collections will permit. Also, having lived in rural Ohio for the last ten years, I am invigorated by the prospects of the large city of Chicago, particularly the museums and restaurants.
What I'm most excited about: The Newberry's collection of Nineteenth-Century Periodicals, walks around the lake, and meeting new people!
