ACM’s annual Off-Campus Study Photo Contest provides a showcase for students’ pictures, with prizes for the top photos in several categories. This year, 96 photos have been entered in the contest and you can give a thumbs up to your favorites by voting for the Facebook Fans’ Choice Awards.

To participate, visit the 2014-15 Photo Contest Gallery on the ACM Facebook page, browse through the contest entries, and “like” your favorites. The photos with the most likes will be recognized as Fans’ Favorites and a $50 cash prize will go to the student whose photo was the top vote-getter. The deadline for casting Fans’ Choice votes is 11:59 pm on Monday, December 15.

Students at ACM colleges who have studied on off-campus programs — offered by their own college, ACM, or another provider — submitted photos for the contest through their colleges’ off-campus study offices.

In addition to the Facebook Fans’ Choice Awards, a panel of judges will select a Grand Prize-winning photo and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photos in each of three categories: People, Places, and Cross-Cultural Encounters. Honorable Mention photos may also be selected.

Contest winners will be announced later in December and all of the winning photos will be in a digital exhibit shown at locations on ACM campuses in winter and spring 2015.

The Off-Campus Study Photo Contest was first held as part of ACM’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2008-09, and proved to be so popular that it has become a yearly tradition. The contest reflects the ACM member colleges’ commitment to off-campus study and five decades of collaboration in offering international and domestic programs for students.
