Past FaCE Conferences

Each year, the FaCE Program identified a theme for special emphasis and organized a conference that brought together faculty and staff from across the ACM interested in engaging in projects related to the year’s theme.

The conferences included guest speakers with expertise in the thematic area and workshop sessions where participants discussed ideas for potential projects, made connections for collaborations, and reviewed the process for preparing FaCE grant submissions. Conference participants were designated by academic deans at ACM colleges.

The FaCE themes were designed to prompt ideas for projects that fit within the broader parameters of the program’s funding priorities. However, the annual themes were not intended to narrow the vision that faculty had in proposing projects to address other challenges or opportunities liberal arts colleges face or that were related to the thematic emphasis in prior years.
