Mexico Summer Program Features Service Learning and Language Immersion

Mexico Summer Program Features Service Learning and Language Immersion February 2, 2009

ACM is pleased to introduce a new summer immersion program in Mexico City, scheduled to begin in Summer 2009.  The ACM Mexico Summer Program: Service Learning & Language Immersion will be based at the Center for International Education (CIEL) at Universidad La Salle, and is designed for students interested in working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and immersing themselves in Spanish language and Mexican culture.

The program will be six-eight weeks in length, starting in mid-June, and includes significant time working with an NGO in Mexico city.  Students will also take intensive Spanish language classes throughout the program, in addition to classes and field trips focused on Mexican culture.  A homestay for the duration of the program further enhances the cultural immersion experience.

Applications for the program are due March 15, 2009.  For more information, please go to www.acm.edu/mexico.

This program was established with generous support from the MacArthur Foundation.
