2016 ACM Soccer Showcase

Men’s and women’s soccer teams from Coe College, Lawrence University, and Macalester College joined teams from host Lake Forest College for three days of competition on September 9-11 at the 2016 ACM Soccer Showcase.

During ceremonies before the opening game of the Soccer Showcase, President of Lake Forest College Stephen Schutt, who served as Honorary Captain for the game, was flanked by the officials and teams from Macalester and Lake Forest Colleges.

2014 ACM Soccer Showcase

Host colleges:

  • Macalester College, St. Paul, MN
  • Carleton College, Northfield, MN
  • St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN

The women’s teams from Carleton and Lake Forest and men’s teams from Macalester and St. Olaf won two games each to lead the competition in the 2014 ACM Soccer Showcase.

In all, six women’s teams and five men’s teams from ACM colleges participated in the tournament, which included 12 matches played in St. Paul and Northfield, MN. See below for scores and links to game recaps on the colleges’ websites.

The Saturday between games featured an urban immersion experience for student-athletes and coaches, as they toured the Mill City Museum and Ruins, site of what was once the world’s largest flour mill. Mill City Museum is located on the historic Mississippi Riverfront and offers exhibits about the intertwined histories of the flour industry, the river, and the city of Minneapolis.
