FaCE Conference Agendas

2016 FaCE Conference

Each year, the FaCE Program identifies a theme for special emphasis and organizes a conference to bring together faculty and staff from across the ACM who are interested in engaging in projects related to the year’s theme.

The conferences include guest speakers with expertise in the thematic area, workshop sessions for participants to discuss ideas for potential projects, to make connections for collaborations, and to review the process for preparing FaCE grant submissions. Conference participants are designated by academic deans at ACM colleges.

The FaCE themes are designed to prompt ideas for projects that might fit within the broader parameters of the program’s funding priorities. However, the annual themes are not intended to narrow the vision that faculty might have in proposing projects to address other challenges or opportunities liberal arts colleges face or that are related to the thematic emphasis in prior years.

2018-19 FaCE Conference

The  thematic focus for the conference and the 2018-19 FaCE funding cycles is Faculty Development around Pedagogical Communities of Practice. This theme aims to encourage collaborative faculty projects targeted at exploring best practices and pedagogical approaches around an array of pedagogical challenges.
