Fall 2017: Amsterdam

On the VU Amsterdam campus

On the VU Amsterdam campus

October 15-18, 2017
Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Six faculty from biology, neuroscience, and physics departments at ACM colleges traveled to the Netherlands to visit the ACM Amsterdam: Sciences, Global Health, & Interdisciplinary Studies at VU Amsterdam program during its inaugural semester.

The visit included tours of the campus and academic and residential facilities of ACM's partner university in the program, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (or VU Amsterdam). The faculty had opportunities to talk with students on the program and Monmouth College biologist Tim Tibbetts, the program's fall 2017 visiting faculty director, as well as visit classes at VU Amsterdam. Field visits in and around Amsterdam helped acquaint them with the city and some of its resources for students.
