Frank Boyd is Associate Provost at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) and he has served in a variety of other administrative posts at IWU including Associate Dean and Interim Provost. His current administrative portfolio includes planning and academic standards.

Outside of IWU, Frank serves in a variety of advisory and leadership roles. He is a Senior Teagle Scholar at the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts at Wabash College. Frank has served on the Illinois Board of Higher Education’s Faculty Advisory Council and is currently a resource member of the Board of Trustees at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL.

Frank joined the IWU faculty in 1995 after receiving is PhD in political science from Emory University. While at Emory, he served as a staff member at the Carter Center and participated in elections monitoring projects in Guyana, Panama and Mexico. His research interests in political science include the politics of conserving common pool resources and political economy.
