Faculty & Staff

A faculty member from an ACM college typically serves as the program’s visiting faculty director and accompanies students to Botswana. The director teaches a course on a topic related to Botswana in his or her area of academic expertise, supervises the independent study projects, and leads program excursions.

You will study Setswana language and culture with highly-skilled local instructors who also teach language courses for Peace Corps volunteers in Botswana.

Elective courses at the University of Botswana (UB) are taught by professors from countries throughout Africa. Instructors are drawn to UB’s excellent reputation and have advanced degrees from universities all over the world.

The Office of International Education and Partnerships (OIEP), is ACM’s partner office at the university. OIEP staff assist international students at UB, including ACM students. OIEP staff conduct orientation, coordinate registration for courses, and help with housing or student life issues.
