Excursions & Travel

Each term, Chicago Program faculty coordinate events that relate to your discussions in the classroom. Just as cities are constantly changing every day, your class excursions will relate closely to the most important things going on right now in Chicago.

Don’t expect to sit in a classroom all day when you have an entire global city as your resource! In the past, students have visited innovative startups, attended arts performances, and toured historic neighborhoods. Whether you explore an urban garden or enjoy a poetry slam during your time in the city, you’ll see Chicago from unique angles that will add a new dimension to your studies.

“I think the best part of the Chicago Program was that I was not only encouraged to explore the city, but it was integral to the curriculum. Whether it’s visiting a neighborhood or exploring a park, everything was rooted in getting out and seeing the city.”
