Emily is the Assistant Director of Off-Campus Study Programs at the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. She works with a portfolio of programs in Botswana, Brazil, Chicago, China, India, Jordan, and Tanzania. Within the portfolio she works closely with students during the application process as well as the pre-departure. Emily serves as a liaison between the ACM and the international partners to coordinate the logistics and program curriculum.
She graduated from Beloit College in 2004 with a B.A. in Sociology. During her junior year, Emily participated in the ACM Urban Studies program. After graduation, she spent time living and working in both Australia and New Zealand. In 2015, Emily graduated with her masters degree in Cultural and Education Policy Studies from Loyola University. Her thesis focused on the how students perceive their impact on local host communities while on study abroad programs.
Emily is part of the Forum on Education Abroad Data Committee and on the planning committee for the Education Abroad Networks’ “Lessons from Abroad” conference.
In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, practicing yoga, and biking along the lakeshore.
