Participating in the ACM Costa Rica spring program was one of the most life-changing opportunities of my life. It's a real eye-opener about Costa Rican culture and it's a perfect opportunity to learn all about conducting a field research project. Everything I learned, about the culture, the life at home, and the huge variety of landscapes (from pastures to mountains and volcanoes to beaches to rainforest) all fascinated me. My Spanish also improved beyond my expectations. I'm incredibly glad I participated in the program.
